About Me

I've always been an explorer of ideas and, when the opportunity strikes, places. I grew up in a small town just south of Springfield, Illinois and my fondest memories are of exploring the local area. I love to imagine and interact with the world as it was, is, and could be, leading me to opportunities ranging from volunteering at historical sites to envisioning best practices and responsibilities of the international education field.

I received a Bachelor's degree in History from Hollins University, where I also prioritized courses in Spanish. I also pursued my first study abroad experience during this time. I attended to the Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy. While there, I took courses dedicated to community  collaboration that sparked my passion for collaborative community development projects. Upon my return, I worked at Hollins University's International Programs Office until I graduated.

My work at Hollins' International Programs Office led me to my Masters in International Education Management with the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. I have worked closely on international education projects with organizations such as the University of California, Santa Cruz and TAPIF. I also interned with the Middlebury School in Italy, where I practiced valuable student support skills. Examples of my work with these organizations and more can be found on my Works Samples page!
