Welcome!

My name is David Bidleman, and welcome to my e-portfolio! I combine my Masters degree in International Education Management with my passion for exploration and history to open new pathways to global learning and intercultural collaboration at home and internationally.

As an international education professional, I:

  • Provide student-centered support, specializing in international students and outbound US American students.

  • Prioritize accessibility, sustainability, and flexibility in all of my work.

  • Seek to facilitate cross-cultural exchange through immersive learning, whether it occurs internationally or in our local communities.

  • Combine international and local thinking while planning and organizing intercultural/international experiences for students.

My current research investigates the relationship between cultural heritage sites and intercultural development. These sites are fascinating educational spaces: representations of the local community and excellent spaces for practicing intercultural communication and community development.

Church Choir

Choir

I have been an active member of several choirs since I was 10 years old. Choir is my most beloved connection to my community and spiritual life.

Historic Wall Carvings

History

History is all about exploration and analysis. It has taught me how to appreciate, debate, and critique the past and its complexities with curiosity, open mindedness, and respect.

Chalkboard with Different Languages

Languages

Languages attract me due to the opportunities to interact with and learn more about people within my own community and afar, as well as the intellectual challenge it presents.

Sloppy Hills

Hiking

I adore the outdoors and love the thrill of traversing new landscapes. Nature is an important gateway to learning about new places, communities, and culture.
